TERMS & CONDITIONS
ORDERS, PAYMENT AND PRICING
There is no minimum order quantity, all orders should be placed and paid for through our website by credit or debit card. The total cost of your order is the price of the products plus delivery and includes VAT.
Any order amendments must be requested by emailing outlet@portaromana.com.
All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. Payments on our website are securely processed using advanced security protected software. Porta Romana will not keep your payment details, they will be held in an encrypted format by Shopify Pay, a secure and widely recognised global payment provider.
Prices on the Outlet are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. Prices are for products designed and wired for use in the UK market only. Prices quoted may be subject to change without prior notice at the sole discretion of Porta Romana Limited. We reserve the right to discontinue items without notice.
DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS
As with all luxury products, not all pieces pass our exacting quality controls and not all prototype colours make it into the collection. Rather than dispose of these items, this Outlet site provides access to these products at a discounted price, proportionate to the product defect or flaw.
DELIVERY OF GOODS
Orders will be despatched within 21 working days to UK addresses only. We will endeavour to ensure that our courier provider delivers goods according to schedule, but we cannot be held liable for any inconvenience or cost resulting from the late delivery of goods.
CANCELLATION AND RETURNS
Orders placed on the Outlet site may be cancelled within 24 hours of placing your order. A full refund onto the original credit or debit card will be made but may take up to 5 days to appear in your account. New orders must be placed and paid for via our website.
We really hope that you will be delighted with your purchase, however, if in the event you would like to make a return then we ask that you let us know within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange for collection of the product through our courier network, which will be subject to a charge of £12.00 per lighting item (inclusive of VAT). All products must be returned in their original box and packaging in the condition they arrived in. Returns must be completed within 28 days from receipt of goods and any returns requested outside of this period will not be accepted.
Return collection/shipping for Furniture, Mirrors, and Ceiling Lights will be quoted on an individual basis.
DAMAGES
In the unlikely event that your product has been damaged in transit, please notify us within 48 hours via the Contact Us page on the website and include supporting photos where possible. We will get back to you as soon as possible to resolve the problem.
PRIVACY POLICY
When making a purchase through our website we will ask you to provide personal details or indeed those details of your client to help us fulfil your order. If you opt-in to allow us to store your details we will keep you updated with more exciting products launching on the site, news and future events. Should you change your mind then please do contact us to remove your details at any time.
RETENTION OF TITLE
Title to the goods (that we sell to you) shall remain vested in Porta Romana and shall not pass to you (“the buyer”) until the purchase price for the goods has been paid in full and received by us. Until title to the Goods passes:
- We (Porta Romana) shall have authority to retake, sell or otherwise deal with and/or dispose of all or any part of the goods
Irrespective of whether title to the Goods remains vested in Porta Romana, risk in the Goods shall pass to you {the Buyer} upon delivery.
WARRANTY
Porta Romana Limited offers a 2-year warranty on all products except lampshades (where a 1-year warranty applies) against manufacturing defects. Pieces on the site may be ex-display, or seconds with slightly visible marks, bubbles, ripples impurities or minor scratches in the surface or glaze. Any impurities will not be visible when viewed at a distance of one metre.
All Porta Romana pieces are handmade, and the Outlet products may be from different batches, because of this we cannot guarantee matching pairs.
This warranty excludes damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, tampering, negligence, abuse, or ordinary wear and tear. Porta Romana Limited is not responsible for damages relating to natural fading or discolouration, oxidation, humidity, prolonged exposure to sunlight or salt air or other unsuitable environmental conditions. Wood, stone, glass, iron, brass, and other decorative materials vary in tone, colour, character and texture: variations are inherent in such materials and finishes and should be expected.
Where a Wall Light is specified as being suitable for Bathroom use, the suitability is warranted only with regard to the regulatory approval for the wiring system which has been approved with IP44, IP65, UL and/or CUL ratings for damp locations. The Wall Light is not warranted for bathroom use in terms of construction material, finish or lampshade material and the suitability on these grounds must be judged by the Interior Designer or the end user based on their understanding of the conditions of the space for which the Wall Light is intended.
